The townspeople aren't supposed to cross over that gate.

STORY TYME:
Her elder sister is off to war; she's got no other family and wants to give her a package of things she's made for her--but she has to make it before the ship departs. She's not sure if she'll ever see her again, so, in desperation she crosses the gate. because her town is locked down, the adults are searching for her.

Weeeelllll, I had thought up of this story on the spot. right now I'm just drawing a bunch of concept paintings for different story ideas, so stay tuned. If you still like this concept the most out of the 5 I'll be doing, I may do more for you. c:

Great, I'm excited to see your other story concept paintings. Maybe I should also try to do some story based drawings someday, but I'm not very good at making stories, so it might take a while :D

I like how your drawings show something going on, like screen captures from a movie, and the characters are ignoring the "camera", they're not posing or anything.
