He was partially an inspiration, and osamu tezuka as well.
My illustration teacher was so confused haha. He wanted to call it anime but he wasn't sure and was thrown off by the flapjack inspiration. XD

never heard something like that. May be you dont know, in Vietnam 1980s we got comics with so so terrible printing qualities. They aimed for saving printing ink, so they used blue/pink ones instead of black ones. The quality was bad, but it were some first comics i read, so the feeling is complicated, like i am missing something indeed. It's a lovely feeling i get when i see yours. :D

i like the way the inking is in blue instead of black. it's a lot easier on the eyes xD

That's interesting, someone told me that it was better in black and white. I personally don't have a preference; I really like both. =)
