I just want to say that this is so simple yet so amazing at the same time. I love the texture and the expression.
What brushes do you use? How do you achieve that charcoal/watercolor effect?

Oh I kept this really simple! It's a basic round default brush on photoshop set on lower opacity.
I built the shadows by layering each stroke, but I made sure not to overwork it so that the 'texture' of it remains.

Oh! LOL. I really thought you had a special brush or something. I have to play around with the opacity more.
But...*do* you have special brushes? I've been looking for something that'll simulate pencil, watercolor and ink strokes. ^_^

Thundercake has nice watercolory ones, and Fox-Orian has nice pencilly ones.

Is that a pokeball hairband? I know that might sound lame, but it looks like one! Anyway, cool pose and expression. Nice work
