for a project I've been collaborating in (directed by my illustration teacher) I drew a classroom. Ugh, shows how much I need to learn about color backgrounds. Matt showed a way to shift colors in sections of the image... I was hoping to learn tricks like that in digital trio next semester but I don't know if I'm going to be taught that sort of stuff. =^=

but uh, yeah. just so you know, guys, this was traced roughly from an image for the purpose of me practicing with color and atmosphere.

After having tried to do something like this and failing miserably at it, I gotta commend you on how neat and atmospheric it turned out. kudos. :3

It certainly was a learning experience.. hahaha.
I had to use a lot of reference, plus I played around with mostly contrast and saturation.
At first, when I couldn't get it to look right I realized how bad I was at color and atmosphere. Finishing this helped motivate me to do more, though. I almost wish I could have shown you the before and after pictures. >;

I'm rooting for you!
